Walkin24 Cookie Policy

Effective date: 1 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how HIRECAM.AI Pvt. Ltd. (“Walkin24”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar browser storage on the Walkin24 website and applications. It should be read with our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

1. What cookies and browser storage are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. “Local storage” is a similar feature that lets a website keep small pieces of information in your browser. We refer to both as “cookies” in this Policy.

2. Our approach

We use only strictly necessary cookies. They keep you signed in, keep your session secure and remember a few settings you choose. We do not use advertising, analytics, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not allow advertisers to place cookies through Walkin24.

Because these cookies are essential for the Services to work, they do not need your consent and cannot be switched off in our Services. If we ever want to use optional cookies (for example, analytics), we will update this Policy and ask for your consent first, and you will be able to say no.

3. Cookies we set

refresh_token (cookie)Keeps you signed in securely. It is HTTP-only, so page scripts cannot read it, and is sent only over HTTPS. Expires after 7 days or when you log out.
hirecam-auth (local storage)Remembers your signed-in session and basic account details on this device so pages load correctly. Cleared when you log out.
wk_last_activity (local storage)Records when you were last active, so we can sign you out automatically after 2 hours of inactivity to protect your account.
hirecam-active-interview (local storage)Lets you resume a practice session that is in progress.
hc_instant_feedback, wk_mobile_interview_ok, hc-profile-modal-dismissed, hirecam-coach-banner-dismissed (local storage)Remember display choices you make, such as showing feedback after each answer, acknowledging the mobile-device notice, or dismissing a reminder.

We do not store your audio, video, passwords or payment details in cookies or browser storage.

4. Third-party cookies

Some features are provided by other companies that may set their own strictly necessary cookies when you use them:

  • Google, when you choose “Continue with Google” to sign in; and
  • Razorpay, when you open the checkout to pay for a Plan, for payment security and fraud prevention.

These cookies are governed by those companies’ own privacy and cookie policies.

5. Managing cookies

You can view and delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you block or delete strictly necessary cookies, you will be signed out and some parts of the Services will not work.

6. Changes to this Policy

We will update this Policy and its effective date if we change the cookies we use. We will ask for your consent before using any cookie that is not strictly necessary.
